NW of Xico along trail between the two, Mun. Xico. ca. 19°27'N, 97°03’W alt. 1600 m. BOSQUE CADUCIFOLIO. Remnants of forest on steep slopes of gorge, with Liquidambar macrophylla, Alnus acuminata ssp. arguta, Magnolia schiedeana, Styrax glabrescens, Gunnera killipiana. Shrub on large stump, hemi-epiphytic. Leaves green aboive, very light green below; petioles purple; no flowers or fruit. Coll.-: M. Nee & K.
