Young plants on limestone cliffs. Buds deep pink grading to white. Petals white with rose-pink cross-band, quickly withering. Flower 7-8 cm. diam., not notably fragrant. Fruits green, ca. 6 cm. diam., Copious yellow latex. Femafe locally abundant here, but noTmales seen. Along road. Dry limestone Dills above Los Pinos. Elev. ca. 700 m. Gerald J. Gastony, Gayle C.
