Brazil. Bahia. Morro do Chapéu Mun. Summit of Morro do Chapeu, ca. 8 km. southwest of the town of Morro do CHapeu to the west of the road to Utinga.

Habitat
Open scrub in exposed sites to scattered low woodland. Sandstone rocks, with open sand in flatter areas.

Description
Tree to 8m with white latex. Leaves coriaceous, dark green above, paler, slightly yellow-green beneath. Sepals fleshy, white tinged pink. Petals waxy white. Stamens pink with cream loculi - pollen pale. Ovary whitish. Stigmatic pad yellow-green with yellow gummy exudate. Flowers directed downwards. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
