In forest on slope. Mostly secondary forest.

Description
Subcanopy tree ca. 8 m tall. Leaves tan below; young stems and petioles tan; epidermis of slightly older stems exfoliating; flowers (petals and stamens) white, with subtle sweet fragrance (3:30 pm). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
