Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Referred to Geonames.org for locality information for Quebrada Iricahua, synonymous with Quebrada Caño Iricahua (http://www.geonames.org/maps/google_-4.815_-73.791.html, accessed: 7/1/2015). Georeferenced to the nearest location on land near the mouth of Quebrada Caño Iricahua, taking into account the added uncertainity of the word "near" stated in the locality description, and where the river meets Rio Ucayali. Used the reference material and Google Maps- Satellite view to locate the mouth (confluence of Quebrada Caño Iricahua and Rio Ucayali . Used Google Maps-What's Here tool to find the coordinates of the geographic point of the shore closest the mouth of the river (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Used Google Maps- Measure Distance tool to draw a line from the selected point to the furthest extent of the joining river, Rio Ucayali. Used the distance from the mouth of Quebrada Caño Iricahua to the width of Rio Ucayali (678.34 m) and doubled it (200%) to find the linear extent of the locality (1356.68 m)
