Habitat
Moist forest on terra firme. Area said to have been selectively logged of meliaceous species in the past. Occasional. Sandy soil, poorly drained in places.

Description
Tree 12m x 12cm, low buttresses. Resin with disagreeable, "medicinal," sweet turpentine odor. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
