Upon the main branches of large trees in humid forests of flat, half swampy soil.

Description
Epiphytic shrub; stem crookedly rebranched, ascending or horizontal, 7-10 feet lonh; the stem and main branches terete; wood moderately hard, whitish or reddish-tinged in the center, without odor or taste; bark yellowish-brown, checked; twigs suberect, purplish, angular but not winged; coriaceous leaves ascendingly recurved, deep dull green above, nuch lighter green of even yellowish beneath; inflorescence suberect; the peduncle terete, deep red and streaked with green; the ultimate stalks lighter red; calyx pinkish-white; petals rose-red; style and filaments whitish; anthers light yellow at the base, the balance purplish-blue;.
