Description
Pileus 6-9 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, appressed fibrillose to appressed fibrillose scaly, brownish orange (7C-D8,7,6); margin with sterile flaps. Flesh white, 1.5-2 cm thick, slowly changing directly to fuscous. Hymenophore tubulose; tubes adnexed to free, 7-12 mm long, 4A2 when young, 4B3 with age; pores 4C4, 2-3/mm, staining near 6E5. Stipe 10-13 cm long, 15-18 mm broad at apex, subclavate to clavate, white, dry, with scattered black scabers; staining blue at base.
