    Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Eucalyptus pilularis (blackbutt). Gregarious. In sand.

  • Description

    Pileus 3-6 cm broad, convex, dry, matted squamulose to squamulose, pale brown to brown squamules with brownish yellow background. Flesh white, slowly blue when exposed. Tubes adnexed, white, then becoming pale yellow, NOT bluing, but pores concolorous and bluing. Stipe 2-3 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, ventricose to subclavate, dry, with faint velar ring, pale yellow to yellow and tomentose above velar ring, brown and squamulose below, with interior white, chambered, slowly bluing.
