Chapeu on the BA 052 highway to Mundo Novo,
with water-worn, horizontally bedded sandstone
at surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh,
exposed rocks & waterfall. Vegetation open
scrub to closed low woodland in drier areas.

This plant growing on rocks by river.
Shrub to 2.5 m. Leaves coriaceous, bright
glossy green above with paler veins. Leaves
pale green beneath. Fruit pale green.
