Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "Posto Mucajaí" along Rio Mucajaí. Assumed this locality to be the city of Mucajaí. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the city of Mucajaí along Rio Mucajaí in Mun. Mucajaí, Roraima. Used the Google Maps - Earth View to locate the city of Mucajaí. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the city (approximated using visual evidence). Because the city does not have defined spatial boundaries on Google Maps, used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the nearest named place of the approximate same size, the city of Iracema, then halving this distance (other named places exist nearer to the city of Mucajaí, but unsure if these small villages may be considered part of the city). Input coordinates, linear extent (17030.0 m), and measurement error (50 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Undefended Area).
