  • Description

    Pileus 3.5-7.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, appressed scaly, pale tan to tan, with coarse marginal velar remnants. Flesh yellow to pale yellow, cyanescent. Tubes adnexed to deeply depressed, yellow to greenish yellow, with pores becoming pale brownish yellow with age, cyanescent. Stipe 6-12 cm long, 7-14 mm broad, strict or curved, equal to slightly broader at base, dry, appressed fibrillose to matted, whitish to pale tan, staining orange, white to yellow or rarely in one red at apex, with interior white, solid, staining orange, rarely with a small blue staining section, with white at base.
