In dry area and rocks away from the creek. Campo rupestre along the córrego. Growing with L. mucoifera., L. confertiflora and L. chamaepitys. Ocassional.

Shrub mostly 0.5 m. tall. Petals deep pink. Filaments, anthers, and appendages yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
