    Low elevation forest. With Blakea, Oreopanax, Chrysophyllum, Miconia, Cecropia, Artocarpus, Piper, Lepianthes, and Alchornea. Common. On limestone.

    Small tree ca. 4 m tall. Flowers white. Fruits ca. 5 x 5 mm, deep purple-black. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
