Habitat

Non-flooded, lowland forest.

Description

Tree, 25 m x 35 cm. Bark fissured, the outer bark yellow, 4 mm thick, the inner and outer bark separated by a red line, the inner bark thick (ca. 10 mm), yellow. The stems reddish, lenticellate (see photo). Phenology of specimen: flower.

Several flowers seen on ground but not collected because we could not find them in the tree but no doubt that they came from this tree. Photos of flowers from the ground. Tree 7285 in Lecythidaceae Plot. Voucher for DNA collection.
