Description
Pileus 3.9-11.5 cm, convex, rugose or bumpy, dry, velvety, dark brown (6F5) to dark ochraceous (6E5), margins even. Hymenophore poroid, pores very samll, yellow (3A5,4 A5), unchanging, tubes yellowish (3A3). Stipe 5.5-9.5 x 2-3.5 cm, clavate, brownish, longitudinally sulcate and rugose with protuberances. Flesh yellowisah (3A2), becoming red when exposed (9A4). Odor and taste mild. Digital pictures. Tissue in culture. Color codes: Methuen.
