Description
Gregarious. Pileus 2-7 cm broad, plano-convex to plane, dry, subtomentose, light cinnamon brown to grayish brown (6E7-6-5), dull and rapid blue flash with NH4, then pale violet around orange drop. Flesh white, erratically blue, with mild odor and taste. Lamellae decurrent, yellow (3A4-4A4), subdistant, rarely intervenose, bluing when bruised, then blackish, with irregular margin. Stipe 3-3.5 cm long, 4-9 mm broad, dry, equal or tapering slightly downward, finely subpruinose above, subpruinose streaked below, pale pinkish brown (6D-E5), white at base, with interior white at first, staining bluish green then black.
