Description
Epiphytic shrub. Stem ascending, several, 7 ft long, rebranched from near the base, moderately rigid, covered with smooth grayish mottled bark; twings ascending, green, terete; leaves ascendingly recurved, shiny very deep green above, much paler beneath, coriaceous; green axillary spike ascending, the pedicels, calyx and style similarly green; floers subpendulous, much inflatedat the deep red base, gradually narrowed toward the small white neck, soft in texture, less than 1/2 inch long; ovary crown yellow; the pubescent filaments pink at the base, otherwise whitish. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
