Moist montane forest and clearings along road. With Miconia racemosa, M. sintenisii.

Description
Common shrubs to ca. 3 m tall; flowers white; leaves with primary, secondary, and tertiary veins impressed; most plants sterile (occ. to 5 m tall). Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
