United States of America. Wisconsin. Sauk Co. "Parfrey's Glen" 3 miles N of Merrimac.

Habitat
This locality is a narrow, deeply incised gorge through Cambrian sandstone and Baraboo quartzite conglomerate. This gorge has a small stream and is constantly cool and moist and shaded, with Aconitum noveaboracense, Pinus strobus, Betula lutea. Surrounding uplands with woods of Quercus alba, Q. rubra.
