Tree to 35 m, DHB 78 cm, trunk bending towards light, large open
crown, bark dark greyish with numerous lenticels, slash pinkish-salmon.
Juvenile foliage pale yellowish-green. Profuse flowering. Imbricate part
of sepals yellowish, exposed part scarlet. Petals and stamen filaments
shocking pink, anthers pinkish, bordered yellow, style pink, stigma
