Razor-grass climbing to 4m in trees.
The second vernacular name refers to the
use of these climbing razor-grasses to
prevent entry of vampire bats into
primitive country houses. They are hung
m the unglazed windows and the doorways,
and presumably the bats are afraid of
colliding with their sharp and clinging
leaves.
