Habitat
With Roda woodsii, Chrysopis villosa, grasses, Cordylanthus wrightii, Castilleja linearifolia, Gilia aggregata, Equisetum, Cirsium, Chrysothamnus nauseosus-type, Amelanchier, Artemisia tridentata, Eriogonum racemosum, Penstemon (blue-fld). Red sandy/shaly soil, often cryptogamic soil present.

Description
Occasional herbaceous perennial, flowers blue, anthers to 1.7 and 1.9 mm long, with sparse pubescence. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
