Habitat
Cerrado on a strip of slightly elevated ground at the edge of a grassy campo.

Description
Small tree, 5 m. tall, 18 cm. dbh. with bark fissured into a longitudinally running brick wall-like pattern. Receptular cups of fruits turning pink on aging. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
