Secondary, dense, semideciduous "cerrado" scrub. Xeromorphic shrubs to 2 1/2 m tall, plus scattered trees to 5-6 m.

Description
Decumbent stems to 2 m long. Glands light brown, petals pink, filaments light green, anthers golden yellow, pistil all green. Unripe fruit light green. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
