Swampy gallery forest, in bamboo thicket.

Description
Tree, c. 12 m high. 15 cm diam. Bark dark brown, smooth, very thin (c. 4 mm.). Slash reddish brown with fine dark red striae. Wood straw coloured, darkening on exposure. Petals rose pink, anthers blue. Flowers sweetly scented. Slash smelling slightly of rotten apples. Leaves with thin reddish grown tomentum beneath especially on veins. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
