Habitat
In a variation of primary "cerradão" vegetation locally called "carrasco", consisting of open to scattered canopy trees up to 16 m tall over a closed shrub layer to 3 m tall.

Description
marantaceous herb. Petals white basally and violet distally. Filaments translucent white, anthers yellow. Style and stigma translucent white. Style curled. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
