Growing in tall, dense, swampy, gallery forest.

Description
Tree, 22 m. tall. Trunk 30 cm. in diam. at breast height, with slight buttresses. Blaze: wood white with wide straw-coloroured bark, rapidly turning ochre on exposure to air. Copious colourless sap turning red on drying. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
