Habitat
Growing in forest on sandy soil, rather clamper than dry forest.

Description
Tree, 25 m tall. Trunk 50 cm diameter at breast height. Bark dark, smooth. Blaze: wood pale stems colour; cortex deep red brown. Petals 8, white, going brown on injury. Stamens 16, lying in a "coronal" ring which is split on the lower side at the place when the style emerges. Ovary of flower dissected 15 locular. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
