Mixed restinga with open periodically wet areas, scattered shrubs and some restinga forest.

Description
Small bromeliad growing either as an epiphyte to 3 m on trunks of small trees or on the ground. Leaves varying from a darker to a paler green, some purple-flushed towards apice. Leaf bases inside maroon-purple. Plant vessel shaped, narrowing above tanks, and leaves then spreading. Calyx from pale green to blue, yellow at apex. Petals rather watery white with yellow anthers. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
