Flat plain with serra (mesas) and intersected with streams. Open cerrado vegetation, sandy soil, high insolation. Occasional wet seeps.

30 cm tall; dimorphic fronds; compact base; rhizome covered with long brown hairs. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
