Rocky slopes. Valley with very steep, rocky sandstone sides sloping down to gallery forest, with sedge meadow (brejo) just above forest in places.

Suffrutex, the non-twining branches to 1 m tall from woody base; petals pale pink, fading to yellow; staminodes dark yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
