    On gravelly roadside, unshaded. With Verbesina encelioides, Datura cf. ferox, and other weeds; arid cactus-dominated scrub in the surrounding area. Colonies of many plants.

    Numerous fresh flowers (11:15 A.M., sunny), essentially odorless or variously described as having a fresh fish flesh (but not as pronounced as that of Solanum sisymbriifolium) or rancid cheese odor. Corolla white; style white; stigma green. Phenology of specimen: Flower , Fertile.
