  • Habitat

    Forest on steep terrain exposed to supra-annual cyclones, high density of lianas and poles, open canopy with emergents to 30 m tall.

  • Description

    Tree. Tree 20 m x 27 cm diam, outer bark gray, with short deep fissures, shed in large thick rectangular plates. Inner bark tan, resin clear. Pseudostipules 3-4 mm long, orbicular. Fruits globose but slightly 3-lobed, glaucous, immature, to 3.4 cm diam. Mesocarp ca. 5 mm thick. Rare. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
