Rocks and sand, moist. Exposure shady. Opening in wooded forest along the trail.

Description
Herb 12" tall, 7" wide. Grows along the ground. Leaves 3/4 - 2" long. Flower pink, radially symmetrical, 4 rounded petals, yellow and green pattern in center, pistil protruding above flower, very distinct stamens, flower 5/8" wide. Measurements from fresh plant.
