Rock and sand, moist. Exposure shady. Wooded river valley, side of trail.

Description
Herb 36-54" tall, 10-12" wide. Stems bending branches, short hairs. Leaves 1 - 3 1/2" long, outer surface rough. Elongated clusters. Flower small, orchid, pea-like, bilaterally symmetrical 1/2 - 3/4" wide, 1/2" tall. Measurements from fresh plant.
