Location
Costa Rica. Puntarenas. Osa Península: Aguabuena, 3.5 km. W of Rincón. Four-hectare permanent sample plot 1 km. N opf BOSCOSA station.

Habitat
In well-drained undulating terrain with slopes of 15--35 °. Tall primary forest with many palms and large lianas. Characteristic species: Sympnoia, Carapa, Brosumum utile, Qualea, Otoba, Iriartea and Vantanea.

Description
Tree, 20 cm dbh. Rather broad-crowned tree, DBH 20 cm. Fruit pale orangish brown. Cut seed pink. Plot Individual No. 1900. 10 duplicate specimens. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
