Habitat
Growing on a dry hummock surrounded by wet campo.

Description
Subshrub to 30 cm. tall, shoots growing in a cluster from a common root system. Leaves very tough. Ripe fruits glossy, black-grape colour; cherry-red when somewhat unripe. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
