Near sea level.
Site with mixture of lowland, wet primary forest and
secondary forest at various stages of regeneration. In
primary forest.
Tree, 30 m x 35 cm. Bark distinctly but shallowly vertically
fissured. Calyx green, petals white, hood white externally
except for yellow at apex, the staminodes yellow internally*
filaments white, anthers yellow. 4 petals pointed forward,
two backward. Open flower 3 cm diameter to widest extent
