    Mixed forest. with Ocotea rodiaei [Greenheart], Dicymbe corymbosa [Clump wallaba], Swartzia leiocalycina [Wamara], Sclerobium guianense [Kaditiri], Eschweilera sagotiana [?:Black kakaralli]. on brown sand.

  • Description

    Tree, ca. 35 m high, dbh ca. 70 cm. Base swollen. Bark light brown, longitudinally irregularly cracked. Bark ca. 2 cm thick, fibrous, Sapwood light brown, heartwood dark brown. Leaves shiny dark green above, more dull below. Primary vein prominent above, very prominent below. Secondary veins inconspicuous. Fruits brown, densely lenticellate. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
