Primary forest. Fertile soil.

Description
Tree, 29m. tall. D.B.H. = ±66cm. Bole cilindrical, 19m. long. Bark ± thin, greyish-brown, with red slash; fissures 2-3 cm. from each other. Sapwood yellowish. Heartwood pale brown. Bole hollow in the centre, to 4m. height. Leaves coriaceous, ± smooth, glossy and medium to dark green above, dull or slightly glossy, and pale green beneath. Nerves on both sides paler than the surface. Fruits ± pendulous, green. (Laboratorio Nacional de Productos Forestales: Arbol adic ional No. 21). Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
