land with 40$ tree crown cover, on lower part
of slope. (This is a transition belt, here
40 n i-ride, "between gallery forest lower down-
slope and open scrub cerrado further upslope.)
Trees include Copaifera, Aspidosperaa, Synen-
aea, Pterodon, I-Iachaerium, Plathyaeniun, Pel-
togyne, Funderlichia. Many weathered quartz-
ite rocks outcropping slightly in humusy soil.
