Habitat
Relict tree of cleared deciduous forest on a cordilheira (raised area) at the HQ (sede) of the Fazenda.

Description
Small tree, 7 m tall, 30 cm dbh with silvery bark. Corollas white, turning to deep chocolate on aging. Swarming with small ants and the twigs covered in large scale-insects which look like rows of galls. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
