Peru. Cusco. La Convención Prov. Ollantaytambo - Quillabamba road, 19-25 km beyond and below (northwest) the Abra de Málaga.

Habitat

Steep roadcut slopes through disturbed montane cloud forest.

Description

Terrestrial shrub, 2 m tall. Calyx and corolla dark red. Berry immature, green heavily suffused with red. Locally common.
