Higher elevation elfin woodlands (650-820 m) with Oreopanax capitatus, Ilex sideroxyloides, Myrsine coriacea, Alloplectus cristatus, Prestoea montana, Hillia parasitica, Graffenriedia latifolia, Myrcia platclada, Lobelia cirsciifolia, Utricularia alpina, and Gleichenia sp. Common.

Description
shrub, ca. 2.5 m. tall. Common shrub, ca. 2.5 m. tall. Flowers yellow tinged at tips and margins with orange, when fully open yellow; anthers darker yellow; calyx green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
