Habitat
Várzea forest, river just receding from high water, in places with closed canopy and rich in epiphytes; terrestrial plants with base submerged unless otherwise indicated; river to 6 m deep in places. Rare.

Description
Tree. Recently fallen tree ca. 25 m, at river margin, flowers erect, cayx pale green, corolla and stamens white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
