Brazil. Acre. Bujari Mun. Riozinho do Andirá, tributary of Rio Acre, basin of Rio Purus. Upstream from "Cai n'Água," BR-364, km 52, where it crosses the Riozinho.

Habitat
Várzea forest, river just receding from high water, in places with closed canopy and rich in epiphytes; terrestrial plants with base submerged unless otherwise indicated; river to 6 m deep in places.

Description
Tree. Tree 12 m with base inundated at river margin, flowering on new growth, flowers pale green, fruits on older growth, broadly ellipsoid, 3 cm long, dull orange, opening to reveal seed enveloped in white pulp. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
