  • Description

    Terrestrial subshrub or immature hemiepiphyte. Stems erect, 1.5-2.0 m tall. Occasionally with elongate decumbent stems (to 3 m). Leaves simple; blade slightly auriculate; occasionally with sessile blades; blade margin serrate and with spines on each serration; spines present on abaxial and adaxial surface. Inflorescence always terminal. Mature flowers pendent. Calyx green. Petals separate; dark green on outside; light green on inside. Fruit globose and orange. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Fruit.
