shrub. Large clonal shrub, covering over 5 m. on large dune, sandbinding; many ovulate strobili at a node = multiflora, bracts winged, papery, seeds with elongated beak, horizontal stripes; leaves in 3's, stems resiniferous. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
