Habitat
Low gneiss ridge covered with virgin mesophytic forest with open canopy of 12 m. tall trees, trunks to 8 dm d.b.h.; few tall shrubs, dense 3-4 dm tall herb layer; soil with humus, ground shaded. [See label for further habitat description.].

Description
Slightly semi-shrubby herb 4 dm tall. Corolla inner surface corn yellow with beige ring around throat opening; veins & base of corolla outer surface red-tinted; ovary pale yellow, stigma white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
